Nicholas' Fight: Beef and Beer Fundraiser is being held to help provide current and future medical care for a 22 month yound boy, Nicholas. In Novemeber he was diagnosed with ganglioglioma.  Ganglioglioma is a tumor that arises from ganglion cells in the central nervous system.  They are mature ganglion cells clustered with neoplastic glial cells. Although, ganglioglioma is the second most common tumor in children, Nicholas’ case is very rare.  Ganglioglioma’s usually occur in the brain and in Nicholas’ case, it has grown, since in utero, inside of his spinal cord.  There is currently only one study out and only a few hundred reported cases like his in the world-leaving a lot of questions in regards to his future care.
