Evesham Township Mayor Randy Brown has so often stressed the importance of fellowship and community. These ideals, rooted in Evesham Township, become even more important when we are confronted with seemingly insurmountable challenges like those brought by Hurricane Sandy. During times like this it can be difficult to see how one community can help in the face of widespread destruction, but there are ways that we can provide support to those in need.
As thousands of New Jersey families remain displaced from their homes as a result of Hurricane Sandy, Mayor Brown and Evesham School Board President Sandy Student are spearheading a township wide effort to collect everyday items to assist our neighbors. Mayor Brown and Mr. Student have created " Evesham Cares." Through township partnerships with the Evesham School District, Evesham Fire Dept , Evesham Police Department, Evesham MUA, and Ravitz family Shop-Rites we will be accepting donated items at 14 locations throughout Evesham Township.
Donations may be made Monday, Nov. 5th -Thurs, Nov. 8th. The collected items will be delivered to designated New Jersey municipalities this Friday, Nov. 9th.
We request the donations be new or gently used. The following items are requested: Blankets, Coats/Jackets, Gloves, Scarves, Baby formula, Baby diapers, Hand sanitizer, Flashlights w/batteries, D cell batteries, Granola bars/breakfast bars, Juice boxes (Please, NO monetary or Gift Card donations)
