Fire Department Motorcycle Raffle
Our fire department is holding a motorcycle raffle on Saturday, August 16 as a fund raiser. We are raffling off a 2008 Harley Davidson Fat Bob. It is a new addition to the Harley Dyna family for 2008.
This fund raiser was the idea of my uncle and fellow firefighter, Dane Buchanan, who recently passed away in September at the age of 38. Dane was an avid biker and saw a lot of potential for this raffle in our area (Central Bucks County). This bike raffle is being done in rememberance of him.
As we get closer to the actual raffle date, we are in the process of setting up events where we can sell raffle tickets to the public. One of the events we have set up already is a "Guest Bartender" night, which will be a combination of a benefit for Dane and an opportunity to sell raffle tickets. This will take place at The Other Side bar in Doylestown, PA. The Other Side will be giving 20% of all sales to the fire department as a benefit for Dane. We have this set up for Tuesday, June 3, from 7 - 9 PM. Questions can be directed to our e-mail address:Brad Buchanan
